Land Acknowledgement and How to Take Action

As we gather in this virtual space, we recognize that we are connected with one another through the winds that give air to all beings and through the waters that move deep into the Earth and up into the sky. We acknowledge that the ground beneath our feet is and always has been the home of Indigenous peoples, many of whom have been forcibly removed to other lands.

We encourage all to visit native-land.ca to know more about the Indigenous lands you inhabit. To learn more about moving beyond land acknowledgements, please visit upstanderproject.org/land.
